Eligible households can sign up for an Energy Smart Income-Qualified Weatherization appointment and receive free energy-saving products, duct sealing, air sealing and attic insulation.

It’s easier than ever to safely schedule your assessment. Energy Smart gladly offers you two safe, easy options for scheduling your whole-home assessment.
Option 1: In-Person Energy Advisor Visit – one of Energy Smart’s specially trained technicians will spend about an hour and a half in your home. Your assessment also includes the installation of products such as energy-efficient light bulbs, smart power strips and more – at no additional cost to you.
Option 2: Virtual Home Energy Assessment* – an Energy Smart Energy Advisor will connect with you via smartphone or tablet to conduct a virtual walk-through of your home to safely assess your home’s energy efficiency opportunities. Upon completion of the virtual assessment, your energy advisor will have energy efficiency products such as energy-efficient light bulbs, smart power strips and more shipped to your home – at no additional cost to you.
Select a trade ally for specific energy-efficient measures:
After the walk-through energy assessment and eligibility verification, an Energy Smart approved trade ally will make weatherization improvements to help you start saving energy and money. These improvements include attic insulation, air sealing and duct sealing – all at no-cost to you. You are under no obligation to move forward with the installation of the recommended upgrades. Who can participate?
Residential Entergy customers in Orleans Parish who meet the income qualification of 200 percent of the federal poverty level are eligible to receive free energy efficiency upgrades to their home. Income eligibility does not guarantee participation in the Energy Smart Income-Qualified Weatherization offering. Availability may be limited and is on a first-come, first-served basis.
