Take control of your energy use by choosing an ENERGY STAR® Heat Pump Water Heater and save energy, money and receive a $400 rebate. Heat pump water heaters use electricity to move heat from one place to another instead of generating heat directly. As a result, they can be two to three times more energy-efficient than conventional electric resistance water heaters. To move the heat, heat pumps work like a refrigerator in reverse. A household of four can save approximately $330 per year on electric bills compared to a standard electric water heater and over $3,500 over the life of the heat pump water heater.*

Who can participate

Any residential Entergy customer in Orleans Parish is eligible to receive rebates for ENERGY STAR® Heat Pump Water Heaters purchased from an Energy Smart retailer or an Energy Smart trade ally. 

How can you participate?

Purchase an ENERGY STAR® Heat Pump Water Heater from any of the Energy Smart Retailers, or any retailer who sells ENERGY STAR Heat Pump Water Heaters. You can get a rebate application at the time of sale, download the application form here or submit your rebate request online. Simply complete the application and send it to Energy Smart within 45 days of the purchase. The installation will then be confirmed and you will receive a $400 check in the mail within four to six weeks. To learn more call 504-229-6868.
